Joshua Coit letter, 1794 Apr. 3.

Letter from Joshua Coit in Philadelphia, to Elias Perkins. Feelings running high, almost ready to declare war. Proposition lies before them for confiscating British debts and another for breaking off relations with the British nation until they deliver western ports and make restitution for ships seized in the West Indies. Fears we would suffer more than they were we to go to war. Also asks the status of Bowers's demand against Tilley & Miller.
